Holmwood House features a comfortable sitting room with an open fire. Breakfast is their speciality, with a wide selection including Craster kippers. Special diets can be catered for with prior arrangement. Holmwood House is west of the city walls, which are just a short walk away. The wonderful York Minster and The Shambles, as well as the Jorvik Viking Centre, the Railway Museum and many other attractions are within easy walking distance. York Racecourse is 2 minutes drive away. It is also conveniently located for the railway station, for easy access to the Yorkshire countryside, Scarborough and Whitby, as well as the beaches at Filey and Robin Hoods Bay, and the uplands of the Wolds, the Moors and the Dales. Payment Information: The hotel does not accept American Express. As Holmwood House is a Grade 2 listed building, please be aware that the hotel has no lift. If you require a room on a lower floor, please request using the Special Requests section. There are special discounts for children under the age of 16 sharing a room with 2 adults. Please note that this property is unable to take group bookings of 4 rooms or more. We have a car park to the rear of the property. Parking spaces are limited, and we ask you to reserve a space prior to arrival. The current rate for parking is £10 per day. Late arrivals by key code entry are accepted by prior arrangement only.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time.
